Día de los Muertos, part II

This wasn't the follow-up post that I'd intended ... Anna-Scarlett and I are supposed to be on a plane headed south toward Mexico. We should be sitting in aisle seats on Aeromexico and opening shiny, tin-foil bags of peanuts. We should be watching the in-flight Hollywood movie with spoken English and Spanish subtitles. We should be getting really excited about spending this week visiting with a mutual friend who lives in Mexico with his wife and their newborn child. We should be experiencing our first, authentic Día de los Muertos. But, we’re not doing those things. We cancelled / postponed indefinitely our trip. Anna-Scarlett had a death in her immediate family and that’s all that I’m going to say about that. Even in BlogWorld, some things are still sacred.
